I've just finished 'Running Girl' - Garvie Smith Mystery by Simon Mason. It's a great YA (young adult) read. The central protagonist is 16 year old Garvie Smith who we are told has a very high IQ but who is a tad lazy. He seems to enjoying hanging out with his mates smoking spliffs and doing very little else. His mother is at the end of her tether....Simon Mason highlights the massive gulf between their two realities brilliantly.
When an ex-girlfriends body is found in the local lake Garvie's sleuthing interest is caught and we follow as the mystery unfolds....
